Khata ceremonial Scarf - currently in cream/gold only
A "khata" or "Kathak" is a traditional tibetan/buddhist ceremonial scarf. It symbolizes goodwill, auspiciousness and compassion. It is often given as a gift at special Mongolian and Tibetan ceremonies. The "khata" is a highly versatile gift and can be presented at any festive occasions including weddings, funerals, births, graduations, arrivals and departure of guests etc. The color of the "Khata" is usually always white as this symbolises the pure heart of the giver. A "khata" can be worn and you will also find them together with praying flags in many places in Mongolia and Tibet.
